Get to know the Doula
Hello Friends and Parents to be!
I am so happy that you found your way to my resource page. Please feel free to read below to learn a little bit more about me and what drew me to Birth Support work!
I am a mother to an 11 year old daughter that always keeps me on my toes, Partner to a wonderful person who supports my dreams and mother to my many rescue fur babies!
When I gave birth to my daughter I lacked the knowledge and support network to navigate my pregnancy and birth with confidence. I felt like another file number on a shelf at the hospital rather then empowered and after much time to process the trauma from my daughters birth I knew in my HEART that I wanted to support other birthing people like me. I am passionate about providing resources, information, education and support to ALL Birthing people because EACH person is entitled to an empowering, supported and informed Birth
As a queer person and a trauma survivor my heart truly lies in providing care for those who need specialized support and assistance navigating the birth journey.
I am always and forever a student and work to educate myself constantly about new and healthy ways to support the Birthing people that am I honored to support. That looks like attending virtual workshops, reading diverse and inclusive literature and furthering my own self growth.
What an ideal birth experience would look like for me as YOUR Doula:
That you will walk into this magical journey with the confidence and knowledge that you need to make the most informed and best decisions for you and your baby. That your support team will create a safe and private experience that you look back at with pride at what you have accomplished.
I can not wait to connect with you and learn more about what your ideal birth would look like.
